Wireless internet for Estonians

Yesterday Latvian netpaper (internet newspaper ;) wrote an article that Estonian energetics company Eesti Energia offers free wireless internet. Though it’s not quite true. Starting with Monday, June 18, Eesti Energia offers wireless internet in whole territory of Estonia but it will be free just until beginning of July. After that period service will cost 298 EEK (about 20 USD) per month. This service could be interesting for users who need internet in distant places (were are no other ISPs) or want to use internet while travel. For data transfer Wi-Fi un CDMA mobilo communications standards are used. In places whre Wi-Fi isn’t accessible, users should acquire CMDA cards for their computers to use the free internet.

Original news (sorry, in Russian and Estonian only) here.
