New Pivot release

I use Pivot engine for this blog and some other my web projects (e.g. xltphoto.net, libertyvoice.info, xlt.lv). I found this blogging engine to be most suitable for my needs:

it’s powerfull

easy to install and use

doesn’t require additional database software to run (like MySQL or Postgre)

templates are easy adoptable

You need aonly webspace (webserver) and PHP 4.x/5.x to run Pivot.

Currently i use Pivot release 1.40.1. Generaly speaking - i’m really satisfied with Pivot. Though there could be more plugins and i faced some trouble using non-Latin alphabet in tags. I hope that will be fixed in next releases.

Week ago Pivot release 1.40.3. came out. i havent tested it yet. It’s said to be with some minor bugs fixed. I’m gonna test it in few days. Then i’ll write more.

This version comes in three flavors:

Pivot 1.40.3 Full - The full version

Pivot 1.40.3 updater for 1.40 RC and higher

Pivot 1.40.3 updater for other versions
