Animals on the underground
It was 1988 when artist Paul Middlewick staring at the tube map during his daily journey home from work discovered that there is an elephant in the London Underground map made by the tube lines, stations and junctions. Since then, the elephant has been joined by many others from bats to bottlenose whales. New animals are being discovered all the time. Al Jazeera on Latvian forests
An interesting piece by Al Jazeera on Latvian forestery. The industry i worked for 7 years. Not exactly in LVM (Latvijas Valsts Meži) though in one of biggest players in Latvia’s forest industry.LAtvia has pretty unique forest flora and fauna in Europe – almost 50% of it’s territory is covered by forests. I hope it will remain that way althogh reality suggests different scenario.

Should I work for free?
It happens that sometimes I do things for free to others. I love it – and sometimes even more than work for money. And not just me. Whole open source community is based on free collaborative work. And i suppose that also you help others for free. But then comes moment you realise that you don’t have time for you own. Or even worse – that you’ve been abused. That means that you have to learn when to say “No”!
